Job Description
Our client, a leading academic medical center located in the New York City Metro area, is hiring a Hematologist Oncologist Physician. This esteemed institution is seeking to add a skilled Hematologist Oncologist Physician to its dynamic team. The role provides an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality clinical care in a busy, academically oriented environment, while contributing to teaching and research activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct clinical care for a busy hematology/oncology practice within the hospital setting.
  • Conduct consultation services for hematology and oncology patients.
  • Manage outpatient and inpatient schedules with clinic hours from 8 am to 5 pm, including a weekend call rotation shared among three attending physicians.
  • Participate in academic activities, including teaching residents and fellows.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Medical Degree from an accredited university.
  • New York Medical License.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Experience treating blood cancers, specifically leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to participate in academic activities and mentor trainees.
