Job description

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Wash Rack Operator for a heavy equipment rental company. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring it is presentable and ready for our customers. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly wash and clean a variety of heavy equipment using appropriate tools and cleaning solutions.
  • Inspect equipment for damage or maintenance needs and report findings promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash rack area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Operate and maintain wash rack equipment following safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
  • Apply protective coatings or treatments to equipment as needed.
  • Assist with basic equipment maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate pressure washers and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in equipment cleaning or detailing.
  • Basic understanding of heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment cleaning.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
