Job description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Seattle metropolitan area, with an expectation of working in a local downtown office at least one day per week.About Housing Connector

Housing Connector is a tech-powered nonprofit creating market-driven solutions that increase access to housing for people facing barriers. We partner with multifamily property owners, housing providers, and public agencies to reduce vacancy, lower leasing risk, and connect more people with stable housing.

Position Overview

The Strategic Property Partnerships Specialist focuses on closing new partnership agreements with multifamily property owners, property management companies, ownership groups, and apartment operators across the greater Seattle market.
This role owns the full sales cycle from first outreach to signed agreement, including prospecting, running discovery and pitch meetings, negotiating terms, and closing new partnerships with speed and urgency.
Success in this role requires a proactive approach to business development and the ability to independently source, manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities, and consistently convert outreach into signed partnerships while collaborating with teammates to grow Housing Connector's impact across the Puget Sound region.

What You'll DoBusiness Development
  • Identify and prospect multifamily property owners, management companies, ownership groups, and apartment operators.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers through phone, email, networking, referrals, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, sell Housing Connector's value proposition, and qualify partnership opportunities.
  • Independently advance prospects through the partnership pipeline and negotiate and close partnership agreements.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up throughout the business development process.
Pipeline Management
  • Own and drive an assigned pipeline of prospective property partners from first touch to close.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, activity tracking, and follow-up.
  • Prioritize outreach based on market strategy and partnership potential.
  • Track pipeline performance and provide regular forecasting and activity updates.
  • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities and partnership prospects.
Partnership Activation
  • Coordinate the transition of new partners to Market and Partner Success teams.
  • Ensure documentation and implementation details are complete.
  • Support a smooth onboarding experience for new property partners.

  • Generates qualified partnership opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting.
  • Builds and maintains a healthy pipeline of prospective partners.
  • Advances opportunities from initial outreach through signed partnership agreements.
  • Meets business development and partnership growth goals.
  • Maintains accurate CRM records and timely follow-up.
  • Builds trusted relationships with multifamily property owners and management companies.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, recruiting, or another sales-driven role.
  • Demonstrated success prospecting, initiating conversations, and building relationships through phone, email, networking, and in-person meetings.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proven bias toward action, competitive, resilient, and motivated by goals.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience using a CRM to manage activities, contacts, and pipeline preferred.
  • Preferred B2B sales experience.
  • Self-directed and resourceful, with strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to identify issues, solve problems, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Experience in multifamily housing, property management, commercial real estate, recruiting, sales, or B2B customer-facing business development is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and the ability to travel locally as needed.
