Job description

Title: Sterile Processing Techย (Day Shift)
Location: Marietta, GA
Schedule:
  • Mondayโ€“Friday: 7:00 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM
  • Weekends: As needed by unit
    Type: Full-time, Agency

Core Responsibilities
  • Clean, disinfect=, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
  • Operate sterilization tools (steam, gas plasma, peracetic acid)
  • Monitor sterilizer performance (mechanical, biological, chemical)
  • Assemble and wrap instrument trays with proper indicators
  • Maintain inventory and distribute supplies across hospital units
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital policies
  • Support OR staff and troubleshoot intra-operative sterile processing issues
  • Train new staff and participate in departmental education

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited sterile processing program

Certifications (Required at hire):

  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
  • OR CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician)

Experience:
