Non‑Invasive Cardiologist Job Summary

Memorial Hospital of South Bend, a 434‑bed Level II Trauma Center, is actively seeking full‑time Non‑Invasive Cardiologists to join our dynamic and collaborative team. You can tailor your practice to your training and interests and enjoy dedicated hospital graphic reading time.

The practice offers a full range of heart health services including a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program and heart failure clinic.

The right candidate will have an interest in both inpatient and outpatient settings with interest in clinical cardiology and imaging. Additional training in imaging—including cardiac CTA or MRI, heart failure, advanced ECHO, work in CHF, preventative cardiology, and structural heart imaging—will be a plus but not required.

Inpatient / Outpatient services include:
  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Angioplasty and stenting
  • Transesophageal, intravascular and intracardiac echocardiography
  • Advanced Electrophysiology & Electrophysiology study
  • Catheter ablation for supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and atrial fibrillation
  • Implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators
  • Laser lead extraction
  • Tilt testing
  • Coronary CT imaging and interpretation
  • TEE
  • Peripheral vascular angiography and intervention
  • Structural heart program assistance with Watchman
  • Watchman Procedure for Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation
  • Impella assisted PCI and shock treatment
  • ASD/PFO Closure
  • CardioMEMS
  • Catheter Ablation with little or no radiation
  • Hybrid Surgical and Catheter Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation
  • MitraClip
  • Cardiac Resynchronization therapy for Heart Failure
  • Pulmonary Hypertension Assessment
  • Percutaneous Closure of the Left Atrial Appendage
  • Hybrid procedure for peripheral vascular surgery and intervention
  • Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension program in the Beacon Heart Vascular Stroke Collaborative Services Program
  • Hospital Hybrid procedure rooms

  • Invasive FFR and IFR
  • Loop Recorders

Office Diagnostic testing includes:
  • Holter and Event monitoring
  • EKG

  • Carotid Doppler
  • Peripheral vascular ultrasound
  • ABI testing
Work Schedule
  • 1:5 weekdays
  • 1:8 weekends
  • Inpatient team covers all new consults and follow‑ups so you can leave on time on days when you are not on the hospital rotation
Leadership Role Opportunities (if desired)
  • Affiliation with Indiana University School of Medicine at Notre Dame and Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency allows for teaching of residents, medical students and supervision of post‑graduate trainees
  • Opportunities for outreach clinic development, Family Medicine residence teaching, faculty appointment at IU Medical School at Notre Dame, clinical research participation, committee participation, directorship and leadership positions
  • Research: Multiple projects are regularly under way with opportunity to participate as both a Principal Investigator and Sub Investigator
  • Be part of Beacon Health System Heart, Vascular and Stroke Institute that is an integrated physician/hospital program to work together to build the service line, obtain special care contracts, and share savings with physicians generated by mutual decision making to improve efficiency
