What You'll Do
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care by assessing residents, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating resident outcomes to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions safely and accurately while monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, recognize changes in resident condition, initiate appropriate nursing interventions, and communicate significant findings to providers and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise, delegate, and coordinate the daily activities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability.
  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource by providing guidance, mentoring, and support to nursing staff and assisting with clinical decision-making.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record, including assessments, medication administration, physician orders, care plans, and nursing notes.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and physician appointments by completing assessments, coordinating services, and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Respond promptly to resident emergencies, changes in condition, falls, and other urgent situations while following established clinical protocols.
  • Monitor residents for pain, infection, skin integrity, nutritional status, hydration, and other clinical concerns, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
  • Ensure physician orders are reviewed, accurately transcribed, implemented, and followed in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote infection prevention and control by following isolation precautions, proper PPE use, and facility infection control practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and facility regulations, including resident rights, HIPAA, and standards established by CMS and the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, professionalism, accountability, and resident-centered care while supporting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
  • Previous nursing experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine caring attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
