Position Overview

Rhythm & Motion Physical Therapy and Wellness is in search of a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in South River, New Jersey. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide onsite care in a supportive home care setting. The successful candidate will be integral to our mission of delivering the highest quality of orthopedic rehabilitation services to our community, with an annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere strictly to state practice acts, ensuring compliance with laws governing physical therapy practices.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including comprehensive history reviews and functional assessments to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement and document treatment protocols based on examination findings and ongoing evaluations, demonstrating agility in adapting to patient progress.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, consulting other healthcare professionals when necessary to refine and adjust patient care plans.
  • Document any changes in a patient's condition accurately, modifying treatment strategies as required to meet evolving healthcare needs.
  • Prepare and execute comprehensive discharge plans for patients, ensuring proper follow-up care is established and documented clearly.
  • Participate in facility meetings to discuss operational improvements and barriers impacting patient access to care.
  • Maintain compliance with all corporate and clinical service training requirements, keeping current with state and federal regulations.
  • Guide and direct assistants and trainees in patient care best practices where applicable.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily serve adult orthopedic patients with varying functional limitations and disabilities, focusing on enhancing their mobility and independence through rehabilitation protocols. Our commitment to patient care encompasses understanding each individual’s specific health conditions, lifestyle needs, and rehabilitation goals. Qualifications
  • A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey, as governed by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is required, showcasing a strong foundation in diverse rehabilitation techniques.
  • Certification in CPR is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and rehabilitation software to streamline care documentation.
  • Participation in evidence-based practice initiatives and continuous education programs is encouraged.
  • Experience in supervising support staff or therapy assistants.
