Job description

BEHAVIORAL ANALYST - TRAVERSE CITY, CADILLAC, GRAYLING OR HOUGHTON LAKE The Behavioral Analyst is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized behavioral support plans for individuals receiving services through Northern Lakes CMH Authority. This role focuses on supporting individuals with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders by utilizing evidence-based behavioral interventions to improve functioning, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and enhance quality of life. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including functional behavior assessments (FBAs), record reviews, and collateral interviews.

Analyze antecedents, behaviors, and consequences (ABC data) to identify behavioral functions and contributing variables. Develop individualized person-centered Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs) in compliance with CMH, MDHHS, and Medicaid standards. Ensure plans align with HCBS settings sules, person-centered planning principles, and least restrictive intervention requirements.

Present behavioral plans to Behavior Treatment Plan Review Committees (BTPRC) and incorporate feedback to ensure clinical, ethical, and regulatory compliance. Provide ongoing monitoring of behavior plans, including data review, progress tracking, and outcome measurement. Modify and update plans based on data trends, clinical observations, and team input.

Conduct site visits (e.g., AFC homes, residential settings, community placements) to assess implementation fidelity. Observe staff interactions and provide real-time coaching and corrective guidance. Ensure behavioral interventions are implemented consistently across all environments

Develop and deliver training to direct care staff, carefivers, and providers on behavior plan implementation, de-escalation strategies, and skill-building interventions. Provide consultation to case managers, clinicians, and residential providers regarding behavioral concerns and intervention strategies. Consult on high-risk cases, including individuals with aggression, self-injurious behavior, elopement, or property destruction.

Ensure appropriate use, documentation, and review of any restrictive or intrusive interventions in accordance with policy and recipient rights. Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Ensure all behavioral plans meet documentation standards for audits, licensing, and Medicaid compliance.

Participate in Person-Centered Planning (PCP) meetings and contribute behavioral expertise. Contribute to policy development related to behavioral services and interventions. Complete continuing education and maintain licensure/certification requirements.

Provide mentorship to staff or trainees when applicable. Support development of standardized tools, templates, and training materials for behavioral services. QUALIFICATIONS: Credentialed and qualified to provide services within this discipline.

LICENSING or CERTIFICATIONS: Licensed/Certified in the State of Michigan as a BCBA.
