Position Overview
#J-18808-LjbffrThe Neuroimaging Research Specialist will support research activities in the Department by assisting faculty and trainees (students and postdocs) with the collection and analysis of neuroimaging data, with a particular focus on fMRI and other emerging technology. Duties include screening and scheduling research participants; direct interaction with participants and operation of the MRI scanner; assistance with experimental set‑up and troubleshooting; management and analysis of neuroimaging data, including fMRI preprocessing; opportunities for assistance with additional behavioral and neuroimaging techniques such as EEG and eye‑tracking. They will also work collaboratively with faculty in writing grant proposals and contributing to manuscript development.
Minimum Requirements- Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or related scientific field.
- Experience conducting fMRI research in an academic or clinical setting.
- Computer programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of neuroanatomy and experience using neuroimage processing and analysis software.
- Ph.D. training.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Training or certification in MRI scanner operation.
- Ethics training or certification for research with human participants (e.g., CITI).
