Description
Yale University School of Medicine announces an open position for an Associate or Full Professor in the role of Director for the MEG Center of the National Center for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) at VA Connecticut Healthcare System (VACHS). The Candidate should have a background and research interests relevant to the cognitive neuroscience of PTSD, recognizing that this is a very broad range of research. The Director is expected to provide strategic, scientific, and operational leadership for the MEG Center, oversee the delivery of high-quality MEG research and clinical research support. The position requires advanced expertise in MEG/EEG data acquisition, experimental design, preprocessing, time-frequency and connectivity analyses, source localization/reconstruction, and interpretation of electrophysiological data, as well as proficiency with relevant computational tools and programming environments (e.g., Brainstorm, MNE, Python, MATLAB) and integration of MEG/EEG with structural and functional neuroimaging modalities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing the Center's scientific vision, fostering collaborations across investigators and disciplines, overseeing MEG data acquisition and analysis, ensuring appropriate equipment and facility operations, and supporting study design, protocol development, and grant-funded research. The Director will also provide mentorship and guidance to research staff and trainees, promote staff development and technical expertise, and represent the Center within the institution and with external collaborators and research partners.
