Description

Join the Wildman Team – Where Your Work Makes a Difference!

Since 1952, Wildman has grown into a fourth-generation family business building more than a company—we are building a platform to glorify God, love and value people, and deliver industry-leading performance.

The Opportunity

Wildman is looking for a Data Analyst to help turn business data into accurate, actionable information that enables faster, better-informed decisions.

In this role, you will own much of the day-to-day execution behind our reporting and analytics work, including Power BI reporting, ad hoc data requests, SQL queries, data validation, and reporting quality. You will work closely with our Data & Analytics Lead and business teams across Wildman to understand what they need, find the right data, and deliver information they can confidently use.

We are looking for someone who is analytically curious, technically capable, and comfortable working independently. When something does not look right, you investigate. When a request is unclear, you ask the right questions. When you encounter an unfamiliar problem, your first instinct is to work toward an answer rather than wait for one.

This is also a role with room to grow. As you develop a deeper understanding of Wildman's systems and data environment, you will have opportunities to expand into data integration, ETL, pipeline support, and broader data engineering responsibilities.

What You'll Do
  • Build, maintain, publish, and improve Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business priorities.
  • Write and maintain T-SQL and PL/SQL queries used for reporting, analysis, troubleshooting, and ad hoc data requests.
  • Pull and validate data for business users, providing meaningful context and insights rather than simply delivering raw output.
  • Manage incoming reporting and analytics requests by helping clarify needs, prioritize work, communicate timing, and follow requests through completion.
  • Investigate discrepancies between reports, systems, or data sources and resolve issues before information reaches stakeholders.
  • Identify data quality issues, document them, and help drive them to resolution.
  • Follow and reinforce established metric definitions, reporting standards, and data documentation practices.
  • Document data sources, query logic, report structures, and other technical details so work is understandable and maintainable by others.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Wildman's core business systems, including ABS, Sage, Fulfill Engine, and the way data moves between them.
  • Surface recurring data quality issues, reporting gaps, and opportunities to improve the way Wildman uses data.
  • As your technical capabilities grow, support data integrations, ABS data pushes and pulls, ETL processes, and other data pipeline work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a or an equivalent combination of demonstrated technical skills, experience, and initiative.
  • Experience is not required — the right candidate coming directly from college will be considered; 1–2 years of experience is preferred where it exists
  • Proficiency or demonstrated aptitude in T-SQL and/or PL/SQL, including the ability to confidently write and troubleshoot queries.
  • Proficiency or demonstrated aptitude in Power BI, including building, publishing, and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a natural tendency to investigate unexpected results.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and move work forward without requiring constant direction.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to communicate technical information and data findings in clear, practical language for business users.
  • A willingness to learn Wildman's business, systems, processes, and data environment.
  • A growth mindset and interest in continually developing your technical skills.
