    Job description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Repair, modify, and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure products are in specification.
    • Fabricates parts not commercially available,
    • Troubleshoots electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controls.
    • Communicates on all project needs with Maintenance & Production Supervisors/Managers.
    • Assist (as required) in the training and skill upgrading of other maintenance and production personnel.
    • Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
    • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
    • Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.
    • Maintains excellent safety record.
    • Maintains an excellent attendance record.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Interpersonal skills.
    • Strong sense of urgency.
    • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
    • Intermediate computer knowledge.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
    • PLC ladder diagram reading.
    • Full understanding of all levels of wiring diagrams.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.
    • At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.
    • At least three (3) years of experience in mechanics.
    • At least three (3) years of experience in controls.
    • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.
    • A technical school certificate or diploma in a specific work-related area, such as electronics technology or electro-mechanical engineering technology, is preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
    • Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
    • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
    • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)
