Job title: Electrical Engineer IV

Location: Browns Summit, NC, 27214

Pay Rate: $60/hr. to $65/hr.

Duration: 4 months

Work shifts: Standard Shift

  

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong industrial electrical training and instructional experience. The role focuses on delivering hands-on electrical and motor controls training, supporting integrated systems education, and working with PLCs, HMIs, safety circuits, and industrial electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of:

  • Industrial electrical engineering knowledge
  • Hands-on controls experience
  • Technical training/instruction capabilities
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, implement, and improve electrical systems and equipment
  • Conduct engineering calculations and technical analysis
  • Ensure installations comply with codes, standards, and customer requirements
  • Prepare technical drawings and electrical system specifications
  • Support installation, manufacturing, maintenance, testing, and documentation activities
  • Prepare reports and project documentation
  • Assist with procurement specifications for electrical equipment
  • Train and supervise project team members or trainees
  • Support industrial maintenance and troubleshooting activities
  • Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and operations teams

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience administering testing to students
  • Experience training Electrical Motor Controls for Integrated Systems
  • Experience instructing students using hands-on labs involving:
    • PLCs
    • HMIs
    • Hardwired circuits
    • Safety circuits
  • Experience teaching Greensboro Basic Electrical Training

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience teaching college-level programs
  • Industrial PC&IS experience
  • Knowledge of local electrical laws and NEC (National Electrical Code)
