PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an Operations Trainee for an exciting entry-level opportunity in aircraft manufacturing. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable technical skills, and become part of a team that plays a direct role in building aircraft.
About the Role
As an Operations Trainee , you will receive hands-on training in aircraft manufacturing processes while working alongside experienced production professionals. Under direct supervision, you will learn and perform a variety of structural assembly operations and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and experience grow.
This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, pays close attention to detail, and is interested in building a long-term career in the aerospace industry.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As part of the production team, you will:
  • Perform aircraft structural assembly tasks under specific instruction and guidance.
  • Fit detail parts and learn basic drilling and riveting operations.
  • Use basic mechanic hand tools and equipment, including pneumatic drills, rivet guns, countersinks, reamers, files, and related tools.
  • Align and assemble components using holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Read and learn to interpret work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to determine work requirements and sequence of operations.
  • Ensure parts and completed work meet manufacturing instructions and Quality Control requirements.
  • Observe and assist experienced team members to become familiar with aircraft parts and assemblies.
  • Progressively work with less supervision as knowledge, skills, and experience are gained.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in hands-on technical work.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions.
  • Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
