Job description

This role operates in a dynamic enterprise environment supporting mission-critical SAP systems that enable core business processes across the organization. The position requires collaboration with diverse teams including SAP functional and application development teams, database administrators, cloud infrastructure and network teams to deliver integrated solutions. Regular interaction with SAP support through the Online Service System (OSS) ensures access to expert guidance and resolution of complex technical issues. Partnership with third-party vendors for specialized tools and technologies enhances platform capabilities and operational efficiency. The role involves both planned project work and unplanned operational support activities requiring flexibility and strong prioritization skills. Participation in on-call rotation for critical production support ensures 24x7 availability for business-critical systems

What You Will Do

  • Lead SAP technical roadmap development, architecture design, and solution initiatives that align technology capabilities with business objectives.
  • Drive end-to-end project delivery for platform initiatives including SAP system implementations, upgrades, and migrations using tools like SWPM, SUM, and DMO.
  • Work closely with SAP and third-party vendors to support Basis operations while partnering with internal teams for defect resolution, root cause analysis and optimizing solutions for performance and reliability
  • Provide day-to-day SAP operations support across multiple modules including SAP ECC, BW, APO, Live Cache, CRM, PI/PO, Portal, Data Services, Fiori, Content Server, TREX, and Solution Manager.
  • Lead and support SAP Basis system administration activities including performance monitoring, tuning, support package application, kernel upgrades, and OSS note implementation.
  • Configure and manage Solution Manager technical monitoring to proactively monitor system health to overall system availability.
  • Support system refresh tasks, client copies, archiving operations using OpenText and KGS tools, system builds, and installation activities.
  • Manage SAP System configurations between systems and provide technical troubleshooting leadership including root cause analysis for critical production issues.
  • Implement AI and automation solutions for technical system operations, optimization use cases, administer SAP BTP and leverage DevOps tools to streamline operations.
  • Work with ServiceNow for incidents, problem, and change management processes and support third-party solutions like KGS, Georgia SoftWorks Telnet, VPOM to support SAP operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 10 years of progressive experience in SAP Basis administration and technical architecture roles with demonstrated expertise across multiple SAP product lines
  • Extensive hands-on experience in SAP system installation, upgrades, and migrations using SWPM, SUM, and DMO tools
  • Proven track record in day-to-day SAP operations support and managing deployment projects across enterprise environment
  • Deep technical expertise working with SAP ECC, BW, APO, Live Cache, CRM, PI/PO, Portal, Data Services, Fiori, Content Server, TREX, and Solution Manager
  • Experience with S/4HANA conversion projects from scoping and planning through execution
  • Strong database administration and troubleshooting skills in HANA, DB2, and Oracle in an SAP environment
  • Expertise in operating and optimizing SAP systems in cloud environments, specifically Azure Cloud
  • Proficiency in operating systems including SUSE Linux and Windows for SAP deployments
  • Experience in SAP system administration including monitoring, performance tuning, support package, kernel upgrades, OSS note implementation, printer administration, system refresh activities
  • Working knowledge of SAP archiving with hands-on experience using archive tools such as OpenText and KGS
  • Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Familiarity with third-party products including Commvault, RevTrac, and VPOM
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create clear technical documentation for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in technical troubleshooting and providing root cause analysis for complex system issues

  • Demonstrated leadership in SAP system and user administration including GUI management.
  • Experience proactively monitoring Early Watch Alerts (EWA), OSS notes, and system alerts to take preventive actions.
  • Strong analytical skills for system health checks and performance optimization

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $133,700.00 - $200,600.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
