Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyman / Field Foreman to join our growing team. This position requires a skilled technician who can independently complete small daily HVAC installations while also leading crews on larger light commercial projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong installation experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise HVAC installation crews on light commercial projects.
  • Perform daily HVAC equipment installations, replacements, and system upgrades.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and job schedules to keep projects on track.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Ensure installations comply with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and provide solutions in the field.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, customers, and team members.
  • Train and mentor apprentice and junior HVAC installers.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and material usage.
  • Promote and enforce a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications
  • Journeyman-level HVAC experience.
  • Previous experience as a Field Foreman, Lead Installer, or Crew Leader.
  • Strong background in light commercial HVAC installations.
  • Service experience with diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, ductwork, and HVAC controls.
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tenant improvements, office buildings, retail, restaurants, and other light commercial facilities.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Ability to plan projects, order materials, and coordinate with subcontractors.
