MRI Technologist Trainee

FirstHealth of the Carolinas, a nationally recognized health care system, is seeking an eager and motivated MRI Technologist Trainee to join our dynamic imaging team. This position provides hands-on experience for individuals actively enrolled in an accredited MRI training program, offering a structured learning environment under the guidance of experienced technologists. Responsibilities

MRI Technologist Trainee Job Summary

  • Assist in performing MRI scans under the supervision of licensed MRI Technologists.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and explaining the process.
  • Support MRI operations, including patient positioning, scan preparation, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Learn and apply scanning techniques for various MRI and MRA studies, including head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, and breast imaging.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and industry standards.
  • Participate in training sessions and coursework as part of an accredited MRI program.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills to contribute to a patient-centered approach.
Qualifications

MRI Technologist Trainee Job Qualifications

  • ARRT Certification in Radiology is required.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited MRI technologist training program.
  • Strong interest in medical imaging and patient-centered care.
  • Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology (preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Must meet all health and safety requirements for clinical training.
