Savannah Country Club is home to a Donald Ross designed, championship golf course. The 6715-yard, 18-hole, par 71 course boasts picturesque fairways and small well bunkeredย greens that offers an experience that is enjoyable yet challenging. In addition to golf, we offer tennis, pickle ball, pool, dining, and many social activities.

We are looking for a professional, outgoing, responsible individual. This person is the first point of contact for helping us deliver a memorable experience and will be part of a team that is collectively working towards enhancing the overall experience.

Job Summary:

Join the team at Savannah Country Club as an Outside Services Attendant for our prestigious golf course. In this role, you will be responsible for either working in the cart barn cleaning carts or working the driving range. In the cart barn, you will be responsible for ensuring the golf carts are clean and staged ready for use. You also will be responsible for ensuring the cart barn is clean and organized at all times. On the driving range, you will be responsible for making sure the range always has buckets of balls and the range is clean picked at the end of your shift. ย ย 

Job Tasks/Duties:

  • Actively engaged with golfing members, and assisting in their needs. Support professional staff with on-course and range member services.
  • Stage golf carts in a clean and organized manner.
  • Cleans golf cars thoroughly before and afterย use.
  • Return any personal belongings left in golf carts to the golf shop.
  • Charge carts after each use.
  • Reports any golf cart damage immediately.
  • Rotates golf carts used to maintainย an even usage of all the golf carts.
  • Performs any required cart maintenance as needed.
  • Maintains records of cartย maintenance.
  • Set up driving range bag standsย and supply golf balls for each station.
  • Retrieves balls from range andย washes them before their next use.
  • Retrieves broken golf carts from theย golf course.
  • Performs all opening & closing tasks such as securing all golf carts andย range balls.
  • Works a variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned within job scope.

Requirements, Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Golf knowledge preferred.ย 
  • Customer Service Experience preferred.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
  • Must have the ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be highly organized and be able to handle multiple tasks and deploy resources effectively.
  • Ability and/or experience driving a golf cart.
  • Valid Driver License requiredย 
  • Continuous standing and walking
