Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Travel Requirements: Limited travel; must be willing and able to support division travel to trade shows and customer sites, as needed.

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a GIS Software Engineer, Associate to support the design and development of geospatial/geographic information systems (GIS) using advanced programming languages.
 
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Supports the design and development of geospatial-based software with an emphasis on: 
    • Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) 
    • Backend logic and databases 
  • Supports software development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities. 
  • Collaborates with engineering team members to develop and enhance GIS software applications.
 
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree, conferred or currently in the final year of a program, in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline. 
  • Zero to three (0-3) years of relevant software development experience. 
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts, including: 
    • Object-oriented programming 
    • Design patterns 
    • Multi-threading 
    • Inter-process communication 
    • Buffering 
    • Persistence 
  • Experience or academic exposure to C++ and/or C# programming. 
  • Experience or familiarity with ASP.NET, Blazor, .NET Core, and/or Mono is beneficial.

Position Salary Range: $63,000 - $91,000. The listed salary range represents the typical range for this position. WR bases the offered salary on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, knowledge, and skills, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market and business considerations.
