Training Hours Paid at $8.75 per hour

Client Facing Pay upon PCA Certification wages are $12 - $15 Per hour

Job Responsibilities 

• Train as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and as a Companion Caregiver
• Attend in person training sessions and Shadow Shifts (Up to 30 hrs)
• Complete Online Training (20+ hours) 
• Pass the Written Companion Care Test
• Pass the Personal Care Assistant Written Test
• Pass the Personal Care Assistant Hands-on Skills Assessment
• Shadow Shifts will be observed and evaluated by Supervisor and Experienced Caregiver.  
  • Trainee will be signed off and approved to work solo shifts directly with client upon proven ability. 
  • If trainee does not complete training within scheduled time frame - They will be dropped from the course. 

Job Responsibilities after you pass the PCA/Companion Care training and testing:

• Assist with diet monitoring, walking, personal hygiene care, and other activities of daily living
• Assist with showers, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, medication reminders, and more
• Assist with non-medical care needs including normal aging challenges and hospital recovery
• Provide caring companionship through conversation, help with hobbies, meal preparation, light housekeeping and more
• Follow client care plan and observe client for change in health conditions

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have reliable transportation including:
  •  Valid Driver's License,
  • Auto Insurance,
  • Current Registration
  • Good Driving Record
• Willingness to learn new skills to better the lives of our clients
• Proficient communication skills, broth in written and personal/business encounters
• Available for online and in person training sessions per our schedule 
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as assigned
• Respect and honor Senior Citizens
