Job Summary
The Core Software team is a high-performance engineering team responsible for building the fundamental software to manage the ONTAP software product. You will work as part of a team responsible for the development of distributed software that drives NetApp cloud, hybrid-cloud and on-premises solutions. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, and driven to produce results.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
  • Deliver well-designed, reliable, scalable, well-tested software (unit, automation and manual where required).
  • Leverage AI in your work, consistent with NetApp policy.
  • Participate in product design, code reviews, and specification reviews.

Job Requirements
  • 3-8 years of industry experience in the relevant domain is required.
  • Proficiency in C++ is must. Experience with Python is a bonus.
  • Experience working with file systems, distributed systems, client-server programming, multi-threaded. applications, and operating systems such as FreeBSD, Linux.
  • A strong understanding of basic to complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
  • Experience with REST API, Cloud, and Virtualization environments is a plus.
  • You must be a strong debugger.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education
  • B.Tech/BE in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, a master's degree, or equivalent experience is required

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $131,000-$169,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
