Forward Deployed Engineer - Full Stack, AWS, AI Engineering | Houston, Texas, United States Forward Deployed Engineer - Full Stack, AWS, AI Engineering (Houston, TX - Onsite 3 days/week) About the Role Join a high-impact team as a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer at a leading organization in Houston, Texas. As a key technical partner, you will bridge business needs and technology to deliver innovative, cloud-native solutions. This is an open-ended contract role ideal for engineers passionate about full-stack development, AI-powered engineering, and hands-on problem-solving. Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise drives mission-critical projects and accelerates digital transformation. Responsibilities - Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and product teams to gather requirements and architect solutions that address real-world challenges. - Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end full-stack applications leveraging Angular, TypeScript, and C#/.NET in AWS cloud environments. - Develop scalable APIs, backend services, and responsive front-end applications. - Architect, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS best practices. - Own the deployment process, CI/CD pipelines, and operational support for production systems. - Utilize GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and software delivery speed. - Apply modern AI software engineering practices for code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation. - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, implementing long-term solutions for stability and scalability. - Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, security standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Operate effectively within Agile, cross-functional teams and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Required Skills and Experience - 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. - Proven full-stack expertise: Angular, TypeScript, C#/.NET Core. - Deep AWS experience, delivering and managing cloud-native applications. - Advanced proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. - Skilled in REST API and microservices development. - Experience with relational or NoSQL databases. - Proficiency in Git-based source control and CI/CD pipeline management. - Demonstrated use of GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows. - Strong understanding of DevOps principles, containerization (Docker), and deployment automation. - Ability to independently deploy, support, and maintain production applications. Preferred Skills - Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or in client-facing engineering roles. - Background in customer implementations and production support. - Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and advanced cloud operations. - Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, LangChain, or agent-based systems. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
