Finish Dozer Operator - Civil Construction

Location: Alberta (Central / Northern Projects)
Company: Blackline Civil Inc.
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Finish Dozer Operator to join our construction team. We are a growing civil construction company specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, road building, site development, and commercial/industrial projects throughout Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate dozers safely and efficiently on active construction sites
  • Complete rough and finish grading to project specifications
  • Strip topsoil, backfill trenches, spread material, and maintain site grades
  • Read and understand grade stakes, laser levels, and site plans
  • Work closely with foremen, grade crews, pipe crews, and surveyors
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Report equipment deficiencies and repair needs promptly
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and OH&S regulations
  • Assist with additional site duties as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating dozers in civil construction
  • Experience with GPS machine control systems is an asset
  • Strong understanding of grading and earthmoving operations
  • Ability to work safely around underground utilities and other equipment
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with reliable transportation
  • CSTS-20, WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance Level II considered assets
  • Ability to work long hours during peak construction season
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and team attitude
