Job Description Trusted Space is seeking a Software Developer with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and 5+ years’ experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has experience with the Java programming language, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports program objectives to include software development in a collaborative agile environment.
  • Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may beconsidered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years in software engineering or related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Java for production level software.
  • Experience with the Java Spring Framework.
  • Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Experience with messaging frameworks (e.g. Apache Kafka).
  • Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.
  • Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations.

Compensation The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $200,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
