JOB TITLE/LOCATION:
Mechanical Engineering Trainee - Cherokee County, GA
DESCRIPTION:
RBC AeroComponents, div of RBC Bearings is a contract aerospace manufacturing plant that takes pride in producing products for the private and military sector.
Jump start your career with RBC! Work on various real-world manufacturing and engineering projects and gain shop floor experience in precision manufacturing. Gain knowledge about the precision parts production process including components, bearings, and machinery. Diverse training will include participation in Sales, Research & Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Management and Production. Hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Develop and support the manufacturing process from estimating to final product
  • Work with multiple department heads on various process improvements. This candidate will work with, and for, all departments from 3-6 months to receive a solid working knowledge of all facets of precision manufacturing.
  • Travel to multiple RBC facilities to train with other MET trainees on testing and design
  • Attend customer calls and work with the applications engineers and sales engineers as a part of their duties.
  • Help in creating and implementing cost and quality improvements and designs for product flow/cost improvements.
  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time and lifting up to 50lbs
  • Safety for self and others is a priority to the individual
  • Work in a team environment

EDUCATION:
  • Currently enrolled to receive or already possess a bachelor's degree with a background in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering

EXPERIENCE:
  • None required
  • Previous warehouse experience and/or mechanical inclination a plus

SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Use of mathematics and scientific rules to solve problems
  • Able to identify complex problems as well as evaluating, developing, and implementing solutions
