OnyxPoint is an event-driven investment firm that invests opportunistically across the entire capital structure, with a particular focus on real asset sectors including power, data center and AI infrastructure, upstream and midstream oil and gas, metals/mining, chemicals, shipping, and related materials industries.The Investment Analyst will conduct comprehensive company and industry research including risk assessment and quantitative and qualitative analysis of business, financial, and market trends. Responsibilities include analyzing performance trends of prospective and existing investments, contributing to idea generation and market research to identify actionable opportunities, monitoring public market portfolio positions and stress-testing portfolios against market shocks, monitoring private portfolio companies and assessing operational performance, and tracking industry news and regulatory developments.The role also requires building and maintaining detailed financial models incorporating multiple business projections, capital structures, and sensitivity analyses; preparing investment committee materials and memoranda; and presenting findings in investment meetings.The role offers direct collaboration with senior members of the firm across the full investment process, with exposure to equity and credit opportunities in both performing and distressed situations.
