Job description

Position Summary

PM Pediatric Care is hiring Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with significant pediatric or urgent care/ER experience to evaluate and treat pediatric patients in an urgentโ€‘care setting, including both inโ€‘person and telemedicine visits. The schedule is 12โ€‘36 hours per week (partโ€‘time/fullโ€‘time) with flexible scheduling and no overnight shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and provide evidenceโ€‘based treatment for pediatric patients in urgentโ€‘care setting including acute injuries and illnesses such as febrile infants, ear/nose/throat infections, abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, croup, asthma, and respiratory distress.
  • Perform common urgentโ€‘care procedures, e.g., abscess drainage, foreignโ€‘body removal, laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive.
  • Obtain and provide preliminary radiograph interpretation with radiologist overโ€‘reads where applicable.
  • Oversee daily operations and patient flow for inโ€‘person and telemedicine visits, coordinating with staff and trainees.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety protocols, quality standards, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with onโ€‘site and telemedicine teams to review lab and radiology results, followโ€‘up with patients, and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Contribute to serviceโ€‘recovery efforts by addressing complaints and improving efficiency metrics such as antibiotic stewardship and patient experience.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional organizations.
Qualifications
  • Pediatric experience required; Pediatric ER, General Pediatrics, or Urgent Care Experience preferred.
  • Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification.
  • Active RN (if applicable) and NP/PA state license for each state where treating patients.
  • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies required.
  • Minimum 2 years of independent pediatric clinical experience as an APP (outside of rotations) or at least 1 year in urgent care or emergency medicine.
  • Ability to think critically, multitask, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR; eCW experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
Compensation

Hourly rate: $65โ€“$100 (range may vary based on experience and location).
