Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled, motivated and safety-focused CNC Machine Operators to join our Steel Prefab Team in Chandler. This position is responsible for safely operating CNC and manual machinery, processing steel materials, performing quality inspections, and supporting daily fabrication operations.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily.
  • Safely load and unload raw materials into machinery.
  • Operate CNC and manual machines.
  • Perform quality inspections of processed materials.
  • Perform routine machine and workstation maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with the Fabrication Team, Yard Team, and Technicians.
  • Safely operate power and handheld cutting tools.
  • Perform layout work using blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Operate forklifts and utilize the Forklift Maximum Lifting Chart.
  • Safely rig steel materials using overhead cranes.
  • Identify hazards and danger zones and report concerns to supervision.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Work independently while completing assigned daily activities according to schedule.
  • Maintain dependable and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proof of identity and employment authorization. 
  • Minimum age of 18+  
  • Reliable transportation to and from the Chandler facility.
  • General knowledge of construction principles and processes required.
  • Previous steel fabrication or prefab experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Imperial measurements.
  • Proficient in mathematics, including dimensional measurements
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to work night shifts when needed.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
