Job description

Ink Jet/Bindery Machine Operator
Location: Clearwater, FL 33764
Pay:$20-$25/hr
Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours per week
Overtime: Available
We are currently hiring an experienced Ink Jet/Bindery Machine Operator for a well-established commercial printing company in Clearwater, Florida. This company has served Florida’s commercial printing industry for more than 61 years and offers a stable work environment with opportunities for long-term growth.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a commercial printing environment and a strong understanding of ink jet, bindery, finishing, and mailing workflows.
Job Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate ink jet printing and mailing equipment
• Operate Kirk-Rudy mailing equipment, including feeders, tabbers, stackers, and bundling systems
• Set up and operate full-size 30-inch MBO folding equipment
• Operate automated stacking, counting, and paper-banding systems
• Set up and operate 8-pocket saddle-stitch binding equipment
• Operate Polar cutting equipment when needed
• Make machine adjustments and perform minor equipment repairs
• Review electronic job orders and prioritize assignments
• Enter production information into the shop floor computer system
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and proper placement
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues
• Complete additional bindery, mailing, and finishing duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications:
• Previous ink jet, bindery, mailing, or commercial printing experience required
• Experience operating Kirk-Rudy mailing equipment preferred
• Experience with MBO folders and saddle-stitch equipment preferred
• Polar cutter experience is helpful but not required
• Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of bindery, finishing, and mailing workflows
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read and follow job orders and production instructions
• Basic computer skills for entering production information
• Ability to lift and move more than 75 pounds
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
