Specific Job Functions
(Includes, but is not limited to)
- Inspect amusement rides, attractions, and auxiliary equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on ride systems, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Complete assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform daily inspections and route checks, making repairs as needed.
- Install, maintain, and repair amusement ride equipment and supporting systems.
- Use diagnostic equipment including voltmeters, amp meters, ohm meters, pressure gauges, and other testing instruments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain compliance with ASTM standards, Clark County Amusement and Transportation Systems (ATS) requirements, and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Respond to operational maintenance needs while maintaining a high level of safety and guest awareness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or amusement ride systems preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment required.
- Prior experience in industrial, facilities, amusement park, or related maintenance environments is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs independently.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members and other departments.

Physical Requirements

- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Possess normal color vision and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, symbols, and wiring colors.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively using radios, telephones, and written documentation.
- Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as operational needs require.
