Warehouse Assistant Management Trainee

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Assistant Management Trainee to support daily warehouse, inventory, logistics, and distribution operations. This role works closely with warehouse leadership to ensure efficient receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and overall operational performance. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to develop into a future warehouse management position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily warehouse and distribution center operations.
  • Support inventory control, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Monitor shipping, receiving, logistics, and transportation activities.
  • Help supervise warehouse staff, track productivity, and support training efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, company procedures, and operational standards.
  • Assist with warehouse audits, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and labor utilization.
  • Support facility maintenance, equipment inspections, and warehouse organization.
  • Prepare reports and assist management with operational planning and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, WMS, SAP, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to travel between warehouse locations as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment around equipment and machinery.
