Peeler Environmental is a progressive Termite and Pest Management firm in Salisbury, NC since 1968.

We are looking for high energy candidates with a great work ethic and good customer service skills to provide termite control services, moisture control services and help homeowners, businesses, schools, and various facilities in the Salisbury-Rowan and surrounding areas. Service experience in the Pest Control industry is a plus, but not required. We will train those without prior experience.

YOU MUST HAVE :

• A valid NC Drivers license
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• A clean criminal and driving record (will be screened)

Typical responsibilities of this position include:

• Working an average of 40 hours per week M-F 8am to 5pm
• Ability to work overtime as needed with prior notice.
• This position will assist and work alongside an experienced team leader.
• Following directions of department managers, administrative staff, and trainers.
  
• Maintaining good time management skills to be punctual for appointments.
• Using basic math skills to calculate materials needed, etc.
• Aptitude to pass state certification exams
• Install plastic moisture barriers in crawl spaces, install sump kits, install drainage pipe, seal/encapsulate crawl spaces.
• Perform wood destroying insect treatments (ex: termites)
• Perform wood fungi treatments in crawl spaces
• Inspection of crawl spaces, basement, interiors, and exteriors of structures.
• Communication of service procedures to customers.
• Mix, transport, and store small quantities of pesticides for daily use in accordance with regulations.
• Apply pesticides according to material labels in a safe manner.
• Using a problem solving mindset towards pest control, not just spraying pesticides.
• Keep a tidy, clean company provided vehicle.
• Ensure equipment remains in working order.
• Participate in staff meetings, department meetings, and continuing education classes.
• Assist in training of other new employees.

You must be an able bodied person to perform this job.

• Constant mobility including walking, crawling, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, looking, probing, climbing, pushing, pulling, balancing, stretching and standing for long periods
• Climb into crawl spaces and attics (attics on a rare basis)
• Lifting up to 50lbs
• Maintain alertness while operating company vehicle/equipment.
• Work inside and outside during all seasons and varying weather conditions

MONEY:

• Trainees start at ~$640/wk through a 90 day probationary period
  • Performance reviewed leading to wage increase for good work
• Within the 1st year, you can expect around $740/wk or better with great performance
