Operating at the SAFe Large Solution level, the Sr. STE is responsible for coordinating execution across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the value stream, facilitating continuous planning, and driving high-level synchronization. As a senior leader, you will emphasize proactive dependency management, cross-train risk mitigation, and readiness before committing to deliver. You will leverage a deep understanding of complex, interconnected systems to foster executive conversations that drive the highest value realization, ensuring that all aligned ARTs deliver seamlessly as one coordinated solution.

  • Complex Dependency & Risk Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate cross-ART risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints before they impact solution delivery. Aggressively escalate and resolve complex organizational impediments.
  • Metrics, Quality & Tooling Ownership: Own solution-level metrics and reporting (flow, velocity, quality, and health) in the enterprise management tool. Promote built-in quality practices, continuous integration, automated testing, and DevOps.
  • Release Management: Coordinate and facilitate the continuous release process across the entire Solution Train.
  • Mentorship & Agile Coaching: Coach and mentor Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Owners, and junior STEs. Drive relentless continuous improvement by facilitating Inspect & Adapt (I&A) events at the solution level and contributing actively to Communities of Practice.
  • Budget and Strategy Alignment: Work closely with Solution Management, Architects, and business stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution remain perfectly aligned while operating within the Agile Release Train and Value Stream budgets.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, SDLC operations, or Agile leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience); Master's Degree with 8+ years of experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of coordinating multiple teams or ARTs delivering a single, complex solution.
  • Exceptional facilitation, executive communication, and servantleadership skills. Ability to operate completely independently and navigate highly complex organizational environments.
