Job description

This is a relationship-driven sales role. Candidates must bring an established book of business and existing customer relationships within the trucking, trailer, transportation, fleet maintenance, heavy-duty truck, or related industries. Proven ability to generate revenue through current industry contacts is required.

Position Overview

Dallas Trailer Repair Co. is seeking an experienced Service Sales & Advisor to grow our truck and trailer repair business throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This role is responsible for developing new business, managing customer relationships, preparing repair estimates, and coordinating service opportunities with our operations team.

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong industry connections, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to identify customer needs and convert opportunities into profitable repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your existing book of business to generate immediate sales opportunities.
  • Develop new fleet, trucking, trailer, and transportation accounts.
  • Conduct cold calls, prospecting, networking, and customer visits.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Inspect trucks and trailers and provide repair recommendations.
  • Prepare and present accurate service estimates.
  • Obtain work authorizations and purchase orders before repairs begin.
  • Coordinate with shop personnel, service managers, parts, and accounting departments.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM.
  • Assist with collections and ensure compliance with customer billing requirements.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for parts, service, and equipment sales.
Qualifications

Required

  • Existing book of business within trucking, transportation, trailer repair, fleet maintenance, heavy-duty truck, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of business development and outside sales success.
  • Strong customer relationship and account management skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred

  • Experience as a Service Advisor, Outside Sales Representative, Account Manager, or Business Development Manager.
  • Knowledge of truck and trailer mechanical systems.
  • Experience preparing repair estimates and managing service accounts.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
