Job Description:
As a Traffic Signal Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic signals and related equipment. You will ensure that all traffic control devices operate safely and efficiently, minimizing disruptions and maximizing public safety. This position requires a blend of technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, controllers, pedestrian signals, and other related traffic control devices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on traffic signal systems to ensure their optimal functioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to signal timing, detection systems, and communication devices.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and project managers to implement traffic control plans and ensure compliance with national, state, and local standards and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency callouts for traffic signal malfunctions and perform repairs as needed to restore normal operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management.
  • Participate in training sessions and stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and safety protocols.
  • Work closely with engineers and other technicians to design and implement new traffic signal installations and upgrades.


Qualifications:
