About The Opportunity
Responsible for assisting in the routing, shipping, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Informs carriers for freight pick-up and ensures shipments are routed appropriately.
Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Coordinates and execute shipping schedules with customers, suppliers or other key stakeholders
  • Confers with Operations and Scheduling to ensure coordination of product completion and shipments on a timely basis
  • Assesses and executes transportation options for most cost-effective routing
  • Resolves outbound and incoming delivery issues with key stakeholders
  • Maintains daily yard check and PM schedule for trailers
  • Assists with waste tracking and disposal
  • Prepares business reports as needed
  • Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree desired
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of and ability to understand organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing and logistics processes
  • Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the manufacturing of customer orders and delivery of finished products
  • Ability to effectively manage the business relationship with the transporters of raw materials and finished products.
  • Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local, regional and national distribution of inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods
  • Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle and logistics supply chain
  • Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant and warehouse facility

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent walking/standing required

The expected salary range for this position is $49,233 to $61,541 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
