Description:

New West Distributing is looking for a CDL Delivery Driver for Reno-Sparks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The position of Delivery Driver is responsible for performing activities while adhering to the standards of New West Distributing. This position will leverage previous delivery experience and keen business acumen.

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and maintain relationship with merchandiser, salesmen, and management team within New West Distributing
  • Keep inventory Controlled by:

Handheld knowledge

Verifying correct inventory count at accounts

Collecting payment cash, check, and charge

Backroom Cleanliness

Rotation of product in backroom

Removal of beer that is out of code or damaged

  • Communicating with the Salesmen for each account daily

Working together efficiently to deliver/merchandise accounts

  • Building and maintaining great relationships with customers
  • Ensuring orders are delivered on time
  • Checking displays by:

Ensuring product is rotating properly

Maintaining a specific quantity and appearance to reduce change of display being pulled

Building and rotating displays

  • Ability to follow DOT traffic laws
  • Safe driving at all times by:

Pre-trip inspections daily

DOT paperwork

All safety equipment required

Physical Demands

Physical demands include, but are not limited to:

  • Repetitive body movement such as squatting, twisting, kneeling, bending, and stooping
  • Get in and out of truck 15-30 times per day
  • Handle cases of product 500 to 1000 times per day
  • Ability to lift and move a half barrel keg (approximately 165 lbs)
  • Able to pick up and move product for a 10-12 hour shift
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Knowledge of how to work a hand truck
  • Push/Pull up to 330 lbs.
  • Exposure to weather
