Using cameras, communication systems, and specialized software, you'll help identify incidents, coordinate with first responders and field personnel, and provide real-time updates to motorists.

In this role, you'll develop skills in customer service, communication, incident management, and multi-tasking while working in a fast-paced team environment. No prior traffic operations experience is required—we provide the training and support needed to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with emergency responders, maintenance personnel, and internal teams to support roadway operations.
  • Provide timely traveler information through electronic message boards, websites, and other communication systems.
  • Dispatch and monitor Road Ranger Safety Patrol operators.
  • Track incidents and document activities using established procedures.
  • Identify and report equipment issues and maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and shift reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training programs.
  • Support a safe and efficient transportation system for the traveling public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, call center operations, dispatch, retail, hospitality, public safety, or another fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with two-way radio systems or communication equipment.
  • Ability to gather information from multiple sources and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent customer service and communication skills.
