Job description

Company: GoTo Telemed Location: Fully Remote (United States) Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Flexible Contractor (Ideal for Students)

Department: Integrative Medicine & Patient Navigation

Role Overview

GoTo Telemed is seeking passionate, digitally savvy individuals to join our remote care delivery team as Entry-Level Virtual Care Navigators. This role is specifically designed for early-career professionals, current medical/nursing trainees, and newly credentialed holistic practitioners who want to gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing field of digital health.

This unique position bridges the gap between traditional allopathic medicine and integrative, whole-person wellness. You will serve as the frontline clinical guide for our patients, conducting holistic intakes, providing evidence-based lifestyle education, and seamlessly routing patients to our licensed medical and dental providers. Whether you are a student seeking clinical telehealth exposure or a newly certified holistic provider building your digital practice skills, this role offers direct mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Patient Intake: Conduct in-depth virtual onboarding for new patients, gathering traditional medical histories alongside holistic health data (diet, sleep hygiene, stress levels, and emotional well-being).
  • Integrative Wellness Coaching: Provide individualized, non-diagnostic guidance on nutrition, mindfulness, and preventive health strategies based on established integrative health frameworks.
  • Clinical Triage & Escalation: Review incoming patient symptoms and utilize structured telehealth protocols to route acute medical, behavioral, or dental issues to the appropriate licensed GoTo Telemed provider (MD, DO, NP, or DDS).
  • Remote Care Coordination: Act as the patient's primary point of contact for Chronic Care Management (CCM) programs, assisting with follow-ups, wearable data review, and health logging.
  • Provider Collaboration (Virtual Scribing): Participate in synchronous video consultations alongside diagnosing physicians as a clinical scribe or patient advocate, ensuring the patient's holistic needs are represented.
  • Health System Navigation: Assist patients in understanding their care plans, navigating referrals to local specialists, and answering non-diagnostic questions via our secure messaging portal.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Entry-level candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. (0–2 years of experience in patient-facing care, clinical support, or health/wellness coaching is acceptable).
  • Education/Credentials: Must meet AT LEAST ONE of the following criteria:
    • Trainee/Student: Currently enrolled in an accredited medical (MD/DO), nursing (RN/NP), or physician assistant (PA) program.
    • Holistic/Integrative: Holds (or is currently pursuing) a degree or board certification in an integrative health field (e.g., Naturopathy, Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach [NBHWC], Ayurvedic Practitioner, Clinical Nutritionist).
    • Allied Health: Recent graduate or newly credentialed Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN with a focus on functional/lifestyle medicine.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy, with a demonstrated passion for whole-person, preventive care.
  • Digital Literacy: High proficiency in navigating cloud-based software, virtual meeting platforms (Zoom/Teams), and secure messaging tools.
  • Workspace: Dedicated, private, and quiet home office environment meeting strict HIPAA privacy standards, equipped with a high-definition webcam, headset, and high-speed internet.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Ultimate Flexibility: 100% remote work with customizable shift blocks (days, evenings, weekends)—specifically designed to accommodate demanding medical school, nursing, or clinical rotation schedules.
  • Mentorship & Interdisciplinary Exposure: Collaborate daily with and learn from a nationwide network of allopathic physicians, dentists, behavioral health specialists, and holistic wellness experts.
  • Technology Provided: Full access to GoTo Telemed's proprietary cloud infrastructure, including secure EHR, telehealth video suites, and scheduling tools.
