Purpose of Role:
Marex is seeking a Trading System Implementation Specialist for the Trading System Implementation Team. This individual will play a critical role within the Marex Capital Markets group as this person will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, integration, and ongoing enhancement of the division's trading technology ecosystem. Working across Trading, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external clients, this individual will drive initiatives that support the firm's electronic trading capabilities and continued growth.
The role requires ownership of client and vendor integrations, trading platform deployments, workflow design, and technology onboarding initiatives. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring that trading systems effectively support the firm's business objectives while maintaining operational resilience, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
This individual will oversee the implementation and optimization of trading workflows across a diverse set of OMS and EMS platforms, lead client onboarding initiatives, and ensure the efficient distribution of trading and portfolio data to internal and external stakeholders. Also, this person will be responsible for establishing best practices around system integration, testing, monitoring, and operational support.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of trading system infrastructure supporting the Capital Markets group.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and integration projects for clients, counterparties, vendors, and trading platforms.
  • Serve as the primary business owner for client-facing FIX connectivity, workflow design, and certification processes.
  • Partner with Trading, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to define and implement scalable trading solutions.
  • Drive integration efforts across OMS, EMS, market data, portfolio management, and execution platforms.
  • Establish and maintain governance, implementation standards, and best practices for trading system deployments and client onboarding.
  • Oversee testing strategies, certification processes, and production readiness activities for new trading workflows and technology initiatives.
  • Monitor trading system performance and operational metrics, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous process improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance automation, scalability, and operational efficiency across trading workflows.
  • Ensure trading systems and associated processes comply with regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, technology providers, and key client stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior management regarding implementation initiatives, technology enhancements, risks, and business opportunities.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the broader Trading Systems Implementation function.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or other related field is required.
  • At least three to five (3-5) years' experience within financial services, and with direct responsibility for trading systems implementation, electronic trading workflows, and FIX connectivity.
  • Experience with any of the following systems would be highly preferred: Raptor, SS&C Eze, Trafix, Silexx, Bloomberg EMSX, and/or Broadridge.
  • Understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, and trading strategies is essential. This includes knowledge of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial products, as well as an understanding of market mechanics and dynamics.
  • Familiarity with trading systems, order management systems, electronic trading platforms, and market data feeds is crucial. An understanding of software development processes, database systems, and networking is also beneficial.
  • Strong project management skills are necessary to lead the implementation of trading systems. This involves defining project plans, coordinating resources, managing timelines, and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • The ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions based on quantitative and qualitative information is essential for assessing and managing risks effectively.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to trading system implementation is important. Experience in implementing risk management controls within trading systems to mitigate operational and market risks is also valuable.
