Description
Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will architect, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting our critical environments. They will work across the full software development lifecycle, delivering scalable solutions for processing-intensive analytics, large data sets, real-time systems, and enterprise applications.
In this role, they will collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to design high-performing software solutions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and implement reusable, modular components that support multiple applications and mission needs. Their expertise will help drive performance optimization, technical innovation, and long-term system sustainability.
Candidates will excel in this role if they have the following experience:
  • Have extensive experience designing and developing full-stack software solutions

  • Are proficient with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular

Requirements
Security Clearance:
  • Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline
  • 14 years of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with an emphasis on performance optimizations
Required Skills:
  • Experience with all aspects of full stack development
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
  • Experience developing software using object-oriented languages such as Java and JavaScript
  • Experience designing and developing modular, reusable software components
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements
  • Experience working throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and sustainment
Desired Skills:
  • Experience developing web-based geospatial applications using tools such as Leaflet.js
  • Technical leadership, team lead, or mentoring experience
  • Proactive technical customer service and stakeholder engagement experience
