  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and review project drawings and specifications.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
  • Develop and manage scopes of work for all construction trades.
  • Prepare material pricing summaries and maintain estimate documentation.
  • Utilize project schedules, logistics, and construction sequencing to develop accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with operations and field teams to identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support project logistics, staging, phasing, procurement presentations, and bid-day activities.
  • Prepare professional estimate deliverables and maintain complete audit trails.
  • Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
  • 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (5+ years of overall construction experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, trade scopes, labor productivity, and general requirements.
  • Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience building strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
