Job Summary

The Warehouse Automation Operator is responsible for the setup, operation and basic maintenance of automated machines, robots and conveyor systems in the warehouse area.
Our Warehouse Automation Operator role starting pay is $21.25 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential.
Schedule: 6pm-630am, 2/2/3 rotation

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read, interpret and perform basic troubleshooting to resolve basic technical issues. Performs minor repairs necessary to keep automation equipment running without causing downtime.

  • Inspect equipment for potential failures or breakdowns. Report anomalies to supervisor and maintenance.

  • Schedules and coordinates any periodic and preventative maintenance.

  • Monitor robot operation and HMI displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions. Monitor LGV activity and system bottlenecks.

  • Responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the Robot, conveyor systems, palletizing, pallet wrapping systems and LGVs.

  • Participate in warehouse and machine audits related to the automation.

  • Perform shipping/receiving functions as well as computer transactions on daily basis and perform pre-shift operational inspection to determine condition of all equipment.

  • Maintain training, train and mentor team members.

  • Follow Quality Control guidelines to ensure conformance with specifications. Re-work or correct products that don't meet specification.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma/Technical degree/certification

Relevant Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of Robotic programming and troubleshooting experience and ability to operate machine.

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing/warehouse (shipping, receiving, inventory control) in a fast-paced environment.

  • Forklift Certification (must be certifiable on a forklift).

  • Scissor Lift Certification (must be certifiable on a scissor lift).

  • Ability to use or practical experience using standard tools of the trade including hand tools and machine shop tools.

Additional:

  • Must be mechanically inclined with strong computer skills.

  • Willing to work weekends or other hours outside of regularly scheduled work hours as business needs dictate.

  • Ability to read and write instructions in English.

Physical Requirements: Move product, supplies, and boxes up to 75 lbs. Sitting, standing, walking for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity-near and far, depth perception, field of vision, color vision.

Environmental Conditions: Warehouse, varying temperatures & volume of noise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant Work Experience:

  • Industrial fork truck.

  • Experience in conveyor and/or other automated distribution / warehousing technologies.

$21.25 - $30.75 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
