The Role

We are seeking a Product Development professional to lead the evolution of our equity trading and analytics products, balancing product strategy, roadmap development, and delivery to create a platform clients can use to navigate and execute in an increasingly complex market. The role will focus on evolving products in Fidelity Capital Markets' equity offering towards our integrated platform vision.

  • Modernizing trading infrastructure and data pathways to offer scalable solutions to a wide range of customer demands

  • Managing risk through automated fail-safe recovery mechanism, real-time alerting, systematic back testing, documenting systems, processes, jira follow-ups, and resolving real-time production incidents

  • Measure capacity projections to iterate on a roadmap for real-time and historical platform headroom

  • Coordinate the product development lifecycle across business, trading consultants, data scientists and technology teams to deliver product enhancements and improve platform capabilities

  • Participate in validation for scheduled system upgrades periodically conducted outside of business hours

  • Facilitating execution across multiple workstreams by helping manage priorities, track delivery milestones, and resolve cross-functional dependencies

  • Analyzing trading data and deriving solutions to lower transaction cost for our customers

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor's with experience degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or other relevant quantitative discipline

  • Experience in systematic trading and Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) to improve trading algorithms

  • Series 7, 57, and 63 to be obtained within a time frame set by the business unit

  • Your ability to analyze vast amount of data and optimize outcomes of a complex trading system

  • Your attention to detail, discipline in execution, and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Your eagerness to optimize workflow, create scale and efficiency and learn new things

  • Your delight in data and influence through thought leadership using verbal and written communication

  • Your knowledge of US Equity market, trading algorithms and market microstructure

  • Your ability to coordinate delivery across business, quantitative, and technology teams to bring product enhancements from concept through implementation

  • Your technical knowledge in Python, KDB/Q,Snowflake, and AWS.

The Team

Our Systematic Trading and Analytics Platform team develops trading capabilities and provides quantitative expertise to design the next-generation of brokerage products in Equity markets. We build trading infrastructure and create trading algorithms to help clients achieve the best execution. We work with clients to improve their trading strategy, educate them about market structure and trading tools, and provide consultation to help them tackle their unique problems.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-120,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
