Job Description Summary

NorthCoast Asset Management is looking for a SMA & ETF Trading Associate - Option Strategies to join our team in our Stamford, CT office in a trade execution role. Responsibilities include building, executing and allocating trades across 7,000+ client accounts, researching and resolving trade and position breaks with executing brokers, reviewing client specific restrictions, maintaining trade execution data for TCA analysis and compiling and maintaining all performance results for composites. In addition, the candidate will be required to maintain and develop automation processes for the operations and trading teams using Visual Basic and/or Python. The candidate will also cross train with the operations group where he/she will reconcile clientโ€™s portfolio data, research and resolve any cash related inquiries and resolve failing transactions with custodians and counterparties. This position requires a presence in the Stamford office five days a week.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Building, executing and allocating trades across 7,000+ client accounts
  • Researching and resolving trade and position breaks with executing brokers
  • Reviewing client specific restrictions
  • Maintaining trade execution data for TCA analysis and compiling and maintaining all performance results for composites
  • Maintain and develop automation processes for the operations and trading teams using Visual Basic and/or Python
  • Reconciling clientโ€™s portfolio data, researching and resolving any cash related inquiries and resolving failing transactions with custodians and counterparties

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to handwrite 200+ lines of code in Python
  • A positive attitude and high energy level
  • Experience managing investment strategies offered in a publicly traded ETF format, alongside separately managed account strategies, is strongly preferred
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • intermediary + knowledge of Microsoft products especially Excel
  • Proactive communication and follow-up
  • Knowledge of SS&C Technologies
  • GWP, visual Basic and Python is a plus, but we are willing to train

This position is an exempt position.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $115,000โ€“$130,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicantโ€™s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
