Job description

Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. In total, the Company owns and operates approximately 120,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets which are used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products. 

Our Commercial Department is seeking a dynamic, personable, and professional Intern for the 2027 summer at our Kansas office.

This is a twelve (12) week internship program starting in May 2027.  You must be enrolled in college during the program 

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and hard-working Marketing Intern -summer program to join our team! The position will support our Endure Energy Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Our internship is designed to introduce you to the fast-paced, dynamic industry of energy trading.
  • This will include direct exposure to physical and financial trading, scheduling, transmission procurement, risk analysis and credit management.
  • Our intern will rotate through multiple segments of Endure, including Day-Ahead, FTR & Real-Time trading desks, as well as exposure to credit risk and accounting. 
  • Tasks will include general analysis, research and modeling of market supply & demand, power pricing, fuel prices, grid congestion, weather and their market impact on a daily basis. 

  

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. Preferably junior status as of Fall 2027
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • The potential candidates includes will be working towards a degree in General Business, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics or other relevant degrees.
  • Above average GPA 
 Preferred qualifications:
  • Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Must possess a strong willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python and R a plus
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
  • Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player, and able to work effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization
