Overview:
The Shop Helper will be responsible for working in the manufacturing shop assisting in our daily fabrication processes. This full-time position offers long-term growth potential within the company.
Responsibilities:
  • Some knowledge of, or ability to familiarize self with, the shop and equipment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions regarding the daily functions of the shop, safety rules and regulations.
  • General mathematical skills for counting, etc.
  • General cleaning duties around the shop
  • Basic skills in the use of hand and power tools and equipment.
  • Ability to develop more specialized skills in such areas as welding, isometric readings, machine operation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Comply with all Company Core Safety Rules, policies and procedures.
  • Report any unsafe conditions wherever they exist to the safety department, their supervisor, or the management of Trade Construction immediately.
  • Report all incidents/accidents/injuries involving the health and wellbeing of any employee to management immediately.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hours and squat and bend at the waist as needed throughout the day
  • Have the ability to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Professional ability to work well with management
  • Excellent communication and teaming abilities
  • Attention to detail
