Job Description:
At Regions, the Trade Finance Specialist will process standby letters of credit, commercial letters of credit, documentary collections, shared national credits, participations, funds, and pay off loans to clients under EX-IM bank working capital guarantee and other insured loan products according to industry standards and publications that governs said products.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensures client needs are met and/or exceeded within established service level agreement
  • Issues, amends, and pays standby letters of credit, commercial letters of credit, and documentary collections according to industry standards
  • Processes loan requests and monitors borrowing bases under working capital guarantees and EX-IM bank policies within defined coverages
  • Process any credits returned for cancellation
  • Ensures policies regarding regulatory, credit, and operational risk mitigation is adhered to

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime under the non-exempt FLSA classification for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of banking experience

Preferences
  • Bachelor's degree

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Detail oriented with strong emphasis on producing an accurate and professional product
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc)
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
