Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor. This energetic role requires a proactive leader with strong management skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a passion for maintaining safe and efficient environments. As a key player in facilities management, you will oversee maintenance repair procedures, manage projects, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to keep our operations running smoothly and safely.

Duties
  • Ensure that safety and ergonomic considerations are built into each operation
  • Observe and analyze production to improve methods, tooling and simplify operations
  • Ensure reliable operation of plant equipment and develop methods to enhance or upgrade manufacturing processes to eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve overall production productivity
  • Assist in the development of improved existing products, as well as new products, ensuring quality and manufacturing methods
  • Develop documented procedures for all operations, including all new or alternative manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling
  • Develop training/reference guides as required
  • Train all associates on improved methods
  • Monitor and oversee environmental conditions to ensure compliance to governing standards and work closely with environmental agency personnel and consultants on resolution to environmental and safety issues
  • In-depth knowledge of all ISO processes, procedures, flowcharts and quality policies, including developing new and existing documentation
  • Assist with research, planning and preparation of Engineering/Capital Appropriation Request for approval relative to procurement of capital equipment, expansion construction, major maintenance projects, service contracts, etc.
  • Schedule and ensure all PM's are completed on time and documented in the log at all times
  • Ensure the maintenance log is active and kept current
  • Ensure all safety and lock out/tag out procedures are followed
  • Troubleshoot programmable controllers, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and operating systems
  • Must be able to use basic electrical testing equipment
  • Must be able to remove or repair broken machinery parts
  • Operate drill presses and all types of powered equipment
  • Operate a welding machine
  • Initiate, participate in and manage process improvements and is part of the implementation team
Other Functions:
  • Perform other duties as required and directed by the Plant Lead and Plant Manager
  • When necessary, does similar or general type work in other classifications
  • May be required to rotate shifts
Experience
  • Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance in manufacturing environment
  • Vocational and/or apprenticeship trades training
  • ISO and Product Management/knowledge/experience
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic ,pneumatic and PLC control systems
  • Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with MRPII
