We are looking for a Journeyman/Apprentice Crane Operator in our Calgary Shop location (8700 Venture Ave SE). The successful Mod Yard Crane Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads in support projects.

  • Valid Journeyman/Apprentice Ticket
  • CSO, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection
  • Oil and gas experience
  • Current - 5 Year Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s license
  • Excellent communication/verbal & listening skills; ability to follow directions and have attention to detail
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proven safety attitude and excellent attendance history

Responsibilities 

  • Physically demanding role; reporting to the assigned foreman
  • Work in various outside conditions, cold/heat, and a fast-paced environment
  • Required to perform complex tasks
  • Pre-use inspections of lifting gear
  • Safely lift steel, pipes, and structural material.

Working Conditions:

  • You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present
  • Outside work
